The Roch Valley LHPH Children’s Silver Hologram Tap Shoes make first tap classes feel even more exciting. Covered in light-catching silver sparkle, they bring a playful touch to weekly lessons, recital routines and musical-theatre performances.

Comfortable, supportive and easy to adjust with a traditional front tie, the LHPH gives young beginners a steady starting feel as they learn their first taps, shuffles and rhythmic combinations. Fitted toe and heel taps across every size mean they arrive ready for class.

Made for Sparkling First Tap Classes

Young dancers need to feel secure while they learn how to balance, transfer their weight and create separate sounds with the toe and heel. The LHPH combines a supportive full sole with a low heel, helping children stay comfortably connected to the floor during early tap training.

The silver hologram vegan synthetic upper is finished with a soft textile lining and cushioned insole for comfortable regular wear. A two-eyelet front tie allows the shoe to be adjusted across the instep, while fitted metal toe and heel taps create a bright, clearly audible sound.

The sparkling Silver Hologram finish reflects tiny flashes of rainbow colour as your child moves, making it a lovely choice for recitals, musical theatre and themed performances. Always check your dance school’s required shoe colour and style before ordering.

Why Choose a Full-Sole Tap Shoe?

A full-sole tap shoe has one continuous base running beneath the foot. This creates a more structured and supportive feel than a flexible split-sole shoe, making it particularly helpful for children learning tap for the first time.

The LHPH gives young dancers a steady base as they practise balance, weight placement and controlled toe-and-heel movements. Its low heel also keeps the foot close to the floor, helping early steps feel manageable.

Every size is supplied with fitted toe and heel taps, allowing children to explore both sounds from their first class without requiring separate tap plates to be attached.

How Should Children’s Tap Shoes Fit?

Tap shoes should feel close and secure without squeezing. Your child’s toes should lie naturally and flat inside the shoe, while the back should hold the heel securely when walking and tapping.

Always measure your child’s feet rather than using their current school-shoe or trainer size. Everyday footwear often already contains growing room, making it an unreliable guide for fitted dance shoes.

The LHPH fits true to size for most young dancers. Begin with the measured foot size and compare it with the current Roch Valley size guide.

A small amount of sensible growing room is acceptable, but avoid a loose fit. Too much movement inside the shoe can make it harder for children to balance, control the tap plates and produce a clean sound.

Quick fit check: Tie the laces securely, then ask your child to walk, rise onto the toes and make a few gentle toe-and-heel movements. The toes should remain flat and the heel should not noticeably lift or slide.

Dance World Size Guide is intended as a helpful starting point. Every child’s feet are unique, so fit may vary depending on foot shape, width, growth and personal preference. Test tap shoes on clean carpet only, as scratched or floor-worn tap plates cannot be accepted for return.

Choosing your child’s first tap shoes doesn’t need to be complicated. If you are unsure about sizing or whether silver hologram shoes are suitable for your young dancer’s class, our Dance World team is always happy to help before you order.
